Drs. Wendy
Hobbelink (1961)
"I was becoming more and more interested in what
really motivates
people, what their inspirations and
talents are, and how they can
really do what they
want to do in their work and life." |

What really fascinates and touches
people?
"What do people really base
their choices on? Why does one person choose the one path and
another choose another? Why is it that some people just seem to
glow and others don't?
After an intensive career as an educator/trainer for an international
corporation, I chose to travel through Asia for half a year. Enriched
and full of inspiration, I returned in 1993. I had decided to
devote myself completely to work and life that I believed in more
and where I could actually be of more value to the development
of people. That is how my own company got started, in which I
focussed on developing and providing self-management and empowerment
training programs. In addition, I also did individual coaching
sessions and career counsellng. From that time on, I chose to
concentrate on an in-depth approach which would have a long-lasting
effect on people. I was interested in what really moves and touches
people and where their real power is."
Bringing out the best in people
I had been working with Martin Thoolen
for years, which was a source of great pleasure and inspiration.
What brought us together and still connects us is the enormous
interest in how you can give people chances to bring out the best
in themselves. It became clear that it was time to join our forces
together in a new company - Circumference. My path is to experience
the new insights, live it myself and only then pass the best of
it on through to others.
I use my head, my heart and my intuition to help people continue
further in their personal and professional journeys. Daily (work)
practice provides a great deal of inspiration. In addition to
this, travelling, meeting people of all kinds, and nature are
continuous sources of inspiration for me. This makes life and
work, for me, a fascinating journey of discovery, each and every
day."
Innovative movements and rich traditions
"I am continually inspired by
innovative and traditional movements. That is how I became enriched
by, among others, Voice Dialogue, focussing, NLP, biography work,
energy work, intuitive development, Sensory Awareness and light
work. As a member of staff I worked together in Europe with and
learned a great deal from Hall and Sidra Stone, the pioneers of
Voice Dialogue. I also became inspired by The Work of Byron
Katie, Deepak Chopra, Peter Delahay, Olga Kharitidi, Robert Fritz,
Peter Toonen and Steve Rother. I am also interested in studying
other cultures and their wisdom, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, the
Mayas, the Incas, Russian primitives, Aboriginals, and Native
Americans ."
My Life's Path
"In 1979 I chose to study Social
Sciences at the University of Groningen along with an extra study
in the field of Management. It was precisely the combination of
people and organizations that appealed to me so much. Later on,
I became qualified as a registered health psychologist at the
Dutch Institute of Psychologists.
My first job was for an innovative office which worked throughout
the Netherlands. I was involved in the re-orientation processes
of those with higher education. There I developed, together with
others, all kinds of training programs, seminars, and coaching
paths. In the next job I learned all about the field of training
from within at the internal education and training center of a
large, international bank. I developed and arranged all sorts
of custom- made training courses in the field of communication,
management and leadership styles, team building, and cultural
change. I became more and more interested in what really inspires
people, what their drives and talents are, and how they can really
do what they want to do."
